Who this policy covers
This policy explains how personal information is handled on lemyre-impact.com. Personal information is information about an identifiable person.
Alexandre Lemyre operates this website in his own name.
It applies to people who visit the site and to people who write about a possible evaluation. A later section describes how employee information is handled if an evaluation goes ahead. Employee information is not collected through this website.
Who is responsible
Alexandre Lemyre is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. He is the only person who handles it. He sets how long it is kept, when it is destroyed, and how a complaint is answered. Those rules are set out in this policy.
Alexandre Lemyre217 Rue Saint-Joseph N
Rivière-Bleue, QC G0L 2B0
Write to him at alexandre@lemyre-impact.com, or by mail at that address, with a question, a request about your information, a withdrawal of consent, or a complaint.
What the website collects
If you use the form, Alexandre Lemyre collects:
- your name
- your work email
- your organization, if you give it
- what you write about the decision in front of you
If you write to alexandre@lemyre-impact.com, he receives your email address and the contents of your message.
Opening a page also produces connection data, which the host records as part of running the site: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and device type, and the referring page if your browser sends one.
The site does not create accounts, take payment, or run a mailing list. It does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising tools. It does not use technology that identifies, locates, or profiles a visitor.
A submission that the site’s spam check treats as automated is discarded. It is not delivered and it is not kept.
Why it is collected
Your name, email, organization, and message are collected so Alexandre Lemyre can read your inquiry, reply to you, and decide whether a first conversation is appropriate.
Connection data is collected to operate the site, protect it, and diagnose failures.
Alexandre Lemyre does not sell or rent personal information. He does not use this information to prospect for clients. He does not make a decision about you by automated processing alone.
Sending the form is your consent to the use described above. Consent lasts for as long as that purpose requires. You may withdraw it as described under Your rights.
How it is collected
You provide the inquiry yourself, in the form or by email. The notice beside the form states the purpose, the means of collection, your right to see and correct the information, and your right to withdraw consent, before you send it.
Connection data is recorded when your browser requests a page from the host.
The pages use typefaces served by Google Fonts. Loading a page causes your browser to request those files from Google. The request includes your IP address, the address of the file, and technical information such as your browser type and the page you are on. Google states that the Google Fonts service does not set cookies, and that it does not use this information to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.
Who else receives it
Only Alexandre Lemyre has access to an inquiry.
The providers below receive information because the site uses them to operate. Each may process it outside Québec.
- Hostinger (Hostinger, UAB, Lithuania) hosts the website and the mailbox alexandre@lemyre-impact.com. It receives connection data, and it holds an inquiry once the message is in that mailbox. Hostinger may process this information in the European Union and in other countries, including the United States.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) transmits the form message to that mailbox. It receives your name, email address, organization, and message in order to deliver it. Brevo may process this information in France and in other countries, including the United States.
- Google receives the font-request data described above, and may process it in the United States and elsewhere.
Alexandre Lemyre uses these providers for the purposes named here. He does not ask them to advertise to you.
Personal information may also be disclosed when the law requires it, including to comply with a court order or to notify the people affected by a confidentiality incident.
How long it is kept
An inquiry is kept while it is needed to reply and to keep a record of the exchange.
If the information is used to decide whether to continue with you, it is kept for at least one year after that decision. Quebec law requires that minimum when personal information is used to make a decision about a person.
The inquiry is then destroyed, unless a longer period applies.
If the inquiry becomes a client engagement, records that support a Canadian tax filing are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to. That is the period the Income Tax Act generally requires. They are then destroyed.
Connection logs are kept for the period Hostinger retains them to operate and protect the site.
How it is protected
The public site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The form message is delivered to the mailbox over an encrypted connection. Access to the mailbox is limited to Alexandre Lemyre. The form accepts only the fields listed above and limits the length of each one.
If he has reason to believe that a confidentiality incident involving personal information has occurred, he will take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of injury and to prevent a repeat. If the incident presents a risk of serious injury, he will promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the people concerned, as Quebec law requires.
Your rights
You may ask to:
- be told whether Alexandre Lemyre holds personal information about you, and receive a copy
- receive computerized information that you provided, in a structured and commonly used technological format, unless that would raise serious practical difficulties, and have it sent to a person or body authorized by law to receive it
- have information corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous, or deleted if collecting or keeping it is not authorized by law
- withdraw your consent to a use or a communication of your information
- where the law allows, require Alexandre Lemyre to stop disseminating personal information about you, or to have a link attached to your name removed from search results
This website does not publish inquiries.
Withdrawing consent stops the use you identify, unless the law requires the information to be kept. Alexandre Lemyre may then be unable to continue the conversation.
A request to see or correct information must be in writing, from you or from a person the law allows to act for you. Send it to alexandre@lemyre-impact.com. If the request is unclear, he will help you identify the information. He will reply in writing, promptly and no later than 30 days after he receives the request. If he refuses, the reply will state the reasons, the legal provision the refusal relies on, the remedies available, and the time limit for using them.
Access is free. If producing or sending a copy would involve a charge the law allows, he will tell you the approximate amount first.
If you want help understanding what a consent covers, write to that email address and he will explain it.
Complaints
Write to Alexandre Lemyre at alexandre@lemyre-impact.com. He will reply in writing.
You may also complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
Alexandre Lemyre carries on this activity in Québec and is subject to the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector. Where personal information crosses a provincial or national border in the course of a commercial activity, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act may also apply. You may then complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Information collected during an evaluation
This website does not collect information from employees about an evaluation.
If an organization later engages Alexandre Lemyre, the work may involve information from or about employees. Before that collection, employees are told what will be collected and how it will be used. Participation is voluntary. The organization receives aggregate findings. Individual responses are not included. When health or psychological information is collected, it is limited to what the evaluation requires. All information collected is protected by access, storage, and security measures suited to its sensitivity.
That information is governed by the notice given to employees and by the agreement with the organization. It is kept for the evaluation and for any longer period the law requires, and it is then destroyed.
Children
The site is written for people who make decisions for an organization. It is not directed at anyone under 14. Under Quebec law, consent for a child under 14 is given by a parent or tutor. Do not send a child’s personal information through this site.
Changes to this policy
September 23, 2026 is the date of this version. A later version will replace this page and carry a new date. If a change affects a purpose for which your information is already held, Alexandre Lemyre will ask for your consent when the law requires it.
